About The Artist
Mia Jeanjaquet - Manaois is the artist and designer of Jeanjaquet and Arete.
She is a creative in design, art and faith. She loves Jesus more than anything.
She started painting at the early age of 6 when her mom enrolled her in summer art classes and never left. She continued to explore her passion for art and its different expressions as a student of Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas where she graduated with honors (Cum Laude) and best in thesis. She went to Parsons School of Design in New York for Fashion Design and graduated with honors. After working for major fashion houses such as Vera Wang and Rosie Assoulin, she moved back to the Philippines to continue her career in design and art and expand her company.
She currently manages both her islandwear clothing line (Jeanjaquet) and handmade earrings line (Arete) while painting and worshipping her heart out. She loves to remind everyone everyday how much Jesus loves them with the biggest smile on her face. She believes in the healing power of Jesus, ice cream, deep breaths and sunny days. Her other special skills include hula hooping, frolicking and making friends with dogs. She is an ambassador of women empowerment, supporting local and leading a life firmly rooted in Christ. She and her husband call Favor Church their family & home. She continues to pursue a life full of wonder and passion - making beautiful things through painting and design.
She has had two solo exhibitions, the most recent was on January 2019 entitled “Bloom”.
